Some tickets are not eligible for traffic school. For example, equipment offenses (like a tail light being out) or alcohol or drug-related offenses. If you didn't get the notice from the court or aren't sure if you are eligible, you can contact the court to find out.

If you are eligible, pay a fee, sign-up, and go to traffic school

Contact the court if you want to do traffic school. The clerk or judge will give you a deadline to finish traffic school. Pay the court and a traffic school fee. Sign-up for traffic school. The DMV has a list of approved traffic schools .

If you complete traffic school, you don't get the point added to your DMV record (if you have a noncommercial drivers' license). If you have a commercial drivers' license the rules are different.
